Our aluminum extrusions are among the most useful components for making jigs and fixtures. Sized to fit 1/4-20 hardware, they can be used with T-slot nuts or T-bolts. Optional hex bolt shoulder washers allow them to be used with commonly available hex bolts. (Nuts, bolts and washers are available separately.)
The T-slot extrusions will fit a standard 3/4" miter slot, our miter slot extrusion, or a 3/8" × 3/4" dado. They have a central V-groove for ease of drilling, and the outside surfaces are fluted to provide a strong mechanical lock when glued. Made in Canada by Veritas, they are anodized for wear resistance and to prevent oxidation. Available in 2', 3' and 4' lengths.
It's a track let into the table or jig surface that accepts T-slot nuts or T-bolts, letting jigs and fixtures lock in place anywhere along its length. This 1/4-20 track fits a standard 3/4" miter slot, the matching miter slot track, or a 3/8" × 3/4" dado.
This Veritas t slot track measures 3/4" wide by 3/8" tall in cross-section, sized to fit a 3/8" × 3/4" dado or a standard 3/4" miter slot.
Screws are the better choice: gluing pins the track in one spot for good, and if it lifts after the glue cures it's hard to fix, while a screwed-in track can be removed and reused.
Plan on at least 3/4" of stock thickness so the dado and screws have enough material to seat securely.
Yes, cut it with a hacksaw or a metal-cutting bandsaw blade, then deburr the cut edges with a file or belt sander.
