BL125 - Lee Valley Loop Hoe
We designed this loop hoe to make weeding easier in congested areas.
Not only is the hoe only 3" wide, but the loop design lets you see where the complete hoe blade is at all times, avoiding accidents that slice plants other than weeds.
The thin, stainless steel loop slides through the soil with minimal resistance. Designed to be used in a near vertical position (like a collinear hoe) it is very easy on the back, letting you use a motion much like sweeping.
54" shaped hardwood handle. 56" overall.
Use it in a near-vertical position, pushing and pulling in a motion similar to sweeping a floor. The thin stainless-steel loop slides through the soil just below the surface to cut weeds off at the root. The upright stance puts less strain on the back than traditional flat-hoe positions.
The open loop design lets you see the complete blade at all times during use. This visibility allows you to place the cutting edge precisely in congested plantings, avoiding accidental contact with desirable plant stems.
The cutting head is 3" wide, making it suited to working between closely spaced plants in vegetable gardens or flower beds where a wider hoe would be too bulky.
The handle is shaped hardwood and is 54" long. The total tool length is 56".
